Legit Check KE ("Platform", "we", "us") is operated by Legit Check KE. By registering an account or using any part of this platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. What Legit Check KE Is
Legit Check KE is a community-driven seller verification platform for Kenya. We allow users to search, review, and report online sellers operating on Instagram, TikTok, Jiji, and other platforms. We do not sell products, process payments, or guarantee the conduct of any seller listed on this platform.
2. User Accounts and Registration
Some features of Legit Check KE require registration. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 18 years old to register. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
3. Credits and Access
Legit Check KE uses a credit-based access system. New users receive a limited number of free credits upon registration. Additional credits may be earned by contributing reviews or reports, or purchased where applicable. Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value. We reserve the right to adjust credit values and earning rates at any time.
4. User-Submitted Content
When you submit a review, rating, report, or any other content to Legit Check KE, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and use that content on the platform. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you submit. You must not submit false, defamatory, or malicious content about any individual or business.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit false or fabricated reviews or seller reports
- Use the platform to harass, threaten, or defame any person or business
- Attempt to manipulate seller ratings through coordinated fake reviews
- Scrape, copy, or republish platform data without written permission
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the platform
- Impersonate another user, seller, or Legit Check KE staff
6. Seller Listings and Profiles
Seller profiles on Legit Check KE are created from user-submitted data and public information. Being listed does not imply endorsement or verification by Legit Check KE. Sellers may claim their profile by registering and following our verification process. Sellers who believe a listing is inaccurate or defamatory may contact us to request a review.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Legit Check KE is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any seller rating, review, or listing on this platform. We are not responsible for any losses arising from transactions you conduct with sellers found on or through this platform. Always exercise your own judgment before making any purchase.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, Legit Check KE and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to financial losses resulting from transactions with sellers listed on this platform.
9. Intellectual Property
All content created by Legit Check KE — including blog posts, design, code, and branding — is our intellectual property. User-submitted reviews and ratings remain owned by their authors, subject to the licence granted in Section 4 above.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts. These terms are intended to comply with Kenya’s Consumer Protection Act (2012), the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act (2018), and the Data Protection Act (2019).
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will note the date of the most recent update at the bottom of this page.
